Maryn Western, a Toronto-based photographer and multimedia artist, is working towards her BFA in Photographic Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University, and has over 5 years of practice and experience behind the camera.

Maryn specializes in environmental, music, and portrait photography. Well-versed and adaptable both in studio and on-location, she creates images that function as a physical container for memories. Although working with still images, the energy she captures moves beyond the frame, giving viewers a multisensory experience.

Her work has been featured in Function Magazine's 24.1, 24.2 Mini-Zine Editions, The Music Zine, Maximum Exposure: Perennials (in collaboration with Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival), and was displayed as a featured 1st Year artist within the Image Arts Building at TMU.
